Little Star and her Mother - part 2

Little Star is a bit upset about going on the next trip without her Mother.

Little Star and her Mother - part 1

Little Star was talking to her Mother:

- In our world, there is not time so looking at my next trip I know exactly what will happen. Why is it that I still have to go?

- The trip is like a kid slide on Earth.

At first, the children are frightened to use it. Their mother has to slide with them.

After a while, she just needs to be there.

Then they learn to like it use it alone

And they use it again and again.

Each time they know exactly what will happen: they start on the top and slide fast to the bottom.

The more they use it, the more they know about it.

After a while, the will know it so well that they will go on the next adventure.

- Yes, but I am not enjoying the trips so much...

- Soon you will ... and then you will have an option to go or not go.

Does God exist? He does, according to Einstein

In 1905, a simple engineer employed as an assistant examiner at the Swiss patent office in Bern published a paper that would become one of the pillars of the modern theoretical physics. Of course, his name was Albert Einstein and the paper was the first of his two papers called The Theory of Relativity.

From this first paper, named after The Special Theory of Relativity, Einstein proved that everything is relative or better said subjective. He showed that if you are travelling in a train or sitting beside it, many physical measurements, such as time, distance and mass, vary. Contrary to common intuition, time goes slower in a fast train if you are observing the time from outside. Or even worse, if you measure something in a moving train, it would look shorter.

So, as a joke, if you take a very fast train, maybe one that Elon Musk is building, you might live longer, but you won't be as tall.

From this paper, as a corollary, in the same year, he published another paper, only three pages long, where he deduced the most famous equation of all time, E = mc2.

In this formula, E is the energy, m is the mass, and c is the speed of light, which is a constant.

From this equation, we can deduce that the energy of an object is equivalent to its mass and that, at least in theory, one can be transformed into the other, and the reverse.

Unfortunately, this would be proven right with the development of the atomic bomb that causes a huge amount of energy to be created from a small quantity of matter using a uranium chain reaction.

What does all this have to do with God?

We read in Genesis that God created the whole universe from nothing. Of course, this cannot be true as from nothing comes nothing, at least if the physics law we are used to is still valid.

But there is still another option: mass can be created from energy or, at least, so Einstein taught us.

We can assume that, at the beginning of time, all that existed was a huge amount of energy, maybe an infinite amount, and, if we like, we can call this energy God.

Then, at a certain time, through a certain process we might never understand, a cosmic event took place that converted part of this energy into everything that surrounds us.

We can call this event The Big Bang. Or we can call it The Will of God. It does not really matter.

the father

The monk said to a father:

"Why do you waste your time with all this: work, wife, kids? You should be busy walking to enlightenment?"
"I am", replied the father while helping his little daughter put on the shoes.

the mother

A monk asked for shelter for the night from a lady.

While she was taking care of her kids, he asked him why he was a monk?

With great shock, he looked at the master who was smiling.

He touched the master's feet and got his enlightenment.

The chick

The chick just hatched from the egg. Looking around to his brothers and sisters and to the other eggs he said:

"I am not like you, I don't need anybody to teach me how to fly." And he jumped out of the nest.

In the boat

On the path to the ocean, the monk was hurrying along the river bank.

"Why don't you join us?" a boatman said.

the stop

One monk was on the path to his enlightenment.

Tired, he stopped to enjoy a little rest.

Just then, he reached his destination.

The candle

A group of candles met to discuss how to get light.

After long discussions about the strategies they should follow, one of them said: "I think it is pretty simple. We just have to find one candle that already has the light".

All the other candles laughed.

"What an ignorant", said them. "It cannot be that simple."

The most beautiful flower

"I am the most beautiful flower of this whole tree", said the pink flower on the top of the tree.

"No, I think I am the most beautiful flower in the whole world."

She was indeed beautiful.

A gust of wind removed her from the tree.

"I am the most miserable flower in the world", thought the flower. "I am flying aimlessly, with nobody to see me and appreciated me. I wish I've never been."

Some time passed and the wind flew her over the woods and rivers and fields.

In the end, she arrived at the ocean.

Only then she understood.

on the mountain

The monk was determined to reach the top of the mountain.

Without rest, in silence, he was walking the path.

And this for a very long time.

But then he stopped for a while and turned his eyes to the valley he came from. A beautiful valley indeed. He sat on a rock and listened to the birds.

He smiled.

He reached his destination.

the eggs

- I want to reach enlightenment, I told my master.

- It is simple. But let's eat first.

Let's boil some eggs together.

First, we take a pot. No need to think too much, pick whatever you have that is big enough. No need to analyze the pot. A pot is a pot. It was built to boil things.

Put the eggs in the pot. Carefully so they don't break. No need to hurry.

Get some water. No need to understand the water, just open the tap. Cold, hot, it does not matter. Just fill the pot with water.

Put the pot on the stove. Turn the heat on. The stove is a complicated thing. To use it there is no need to understand it. You just need to master turning it on.

Now, just wait for 10-15 minutes. No need to do anything, just sit and watch.

The water has the boiling inside. You cannot teach it to boil or to boil faster. You just bring it close to heat and it will boil.

After some time to turn off the heat, take the eggs out and wait for them to cool down. No need to analyze. They will cool down with or without you.

And now you can enjoy the eggs.

- But I am confused, what does it have to do with enlightenment?

The storm

We were all sitting in the big round room. Here we had everything, we had beds and all that was needed for the time being. We were comfortable for now.

He stood up and said: "I have something to say and I would like you to pay attention".

He was not a leader. No, not at all. As a matter of fact, we did not have a leader, we were all together, into this.

But, this time, we felt that he had something important to say, so we keep silent.

"The storm is coming", he said. "A storm like we've never seen before. Rain pushed around by winds of incredible speeds. We need to be careful with this one."

"What do to?", said some of us.

"Not much. All you need to do is take care of the windows around you. Be sure they are closed so nothing bad can come in. Then, we'll all be safe. So I want each one of you, this very moment, to stand up and check your windows. Be sure they are closed."

All of us stood up and checked the windows close by. I did too. Then the wind started and only then I noticed a small window opened. I run and closed it just in time. Wow. One more second and I don't want to know what would have happened...
